The detector is designed and constructed for the detection of ferromagnetic objects which may lie
- in the ground or
- in or under water
such as unexploded ordnance (UXO), for example.
GENERAL FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Ferromagnetic parts located in the geomagnetic field generate a magnetic interference field, which surrounds them. This interference field can be detected using a differential magnetometer. The displayed amplitude and magnetic polarity are used to locate objects. This interference field causes a disturbance in the homogeneous geomagnetic field directly above the object to be located. The Fluxgate Gradiometer measures this field. The influence of the geomagnetic field is eliminated by the sensors arranged in a differential manner which in result makes the interference field. For localisation of the objects the shown amplitude and polarity are used.

- Carrying Handle
- Battery Pack
- Carrying Belt
- Batteries 4 x D size (IEC LR 20)
- User Manual
- OPERATOR-CONTROL UNIT
The operator-control unit is the central component of the FEREX 4.032 API with analogue pointer. The electronic components are fitted in the splash waterproof housing (IP57). The display and control elements are mounted on the cover of the housing.
- The headphone socket can be found on the housing.
- The power supply comes from the battery pack and is conducted via the contact assembly in the carrying handle
- The DETRECTOR can be used either with built-in loudspeaker in the control unit or with headphones.
- The carrying rod is not needed when using the instrument for detection in bore holes. In this case the battery pack can be screwed directly on the operator control unit.
